Bethesda is cool

They are going to release the game with minimal to no testing patch a bit and move on and the community will fix the bugs with a unofficial patch. I wouldn't be surprised if Skyrim is unplayable due to bugs on release.

They've confirmed a day one patch for all platforms, incase anyone was wondering.

I don't think they would have gave up 11.11.11.

I'm not really impressed with companies who hit deadlines. I'm unimpressed with companies who don't...

Because they're cool either way.

As far as I'm concerned, release date is December 11th. Because it took upwards of a month for Oblivion to actually run anywhere near half decent, and I'm expecting the same for Skyrim. Plus, I'm away on Friday.

I'll reserve judgement until I see how many bugs it has. I love Bethesda's games artistically, but from a technical point of view, er, not so much. Though they rank amongst my favourites, it's always a relief moving on to play almost anyone else's games because they don't crash all the time; I'm playing Oblivion at present and it's frustrating from that point of view, and I neither finished Bloodmoon nor will play FO3 again for the same reason. I'm worried about how untested and buggy Skyrim will be, especially if it's been rushed to get it to market on a "cool" date.

They didn't quite make the deadline. The japanese translation is not finished yet, so Japan will be excluded from the world-wide release at 11-11-11.

We all know the real reason is Godzilla returns on that date.
