Bethesda fix the hd texture pack plz!

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 3:04 am

Right now you cant use any textures wtih hd texture pack the esp's will overwrite any modded texture. So if your trying to make modding easy bethesda how is it easy say if a new player never modded went on to steam workshop downloaded some texture mod and it does not work due to you not considering mods when making it. The new person will not know whats causing it assuming its mod fault and this willh happen for all mods. So plz change the files to make it easier for modders and new comers.

I noticed this as well with the Bryce Nebula mods, I guess the only way to get modded textures to work right now is to use the Creation Kit to modify the base texture for that resource, then create a new ESP for it to go with that that modded texture. Time consuming for sure.

That's my point most of the mods dont do this now. I only can think of new texture ones like enchanted blood textures. Point is if someones downloading texture mods and wondering why they are not working.

Maybe the hd pack was intended as being used without any other texture mods, for simplicity. For the guy who's happy with 1 pack.

Modding is an advanced feature as it is, and with a little research, as shown in my link, it's easily solved.

Or maybe they dropped the ball lol.

Then they should say that...

No where did it say you wont be able to use mods when this is installed.

If they had put the textures in the files they were supposed to be located in, this woudln't be an issue. I wonder if it's the scrub programmers now maintaining the game while the good ones are working on the next project.
