Bethesda has to do something with the Thalmor in DLC

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 3:22 pm

Im really anxious to see what happens when they finally decide to strike. I want them to flesh this story out and not just leave it as a background event that occurs between games or something.

It'll probably be in the next TES game but I would like something to do with the Thalmor.

That would be a fantabulous idea. It would be nice to get something involving the Thalmor.

Truthfully I would like to see this but find it most likely they are going to wait until the next game to explain what happened.

As long as they include the option for the player to snitch on some talos terrorists and have them arrested. Seriously, there was this guy named Ogmund in Markarth. What happens when you rat on him for his blasphemy? Nothing, he goes on about his business with no trouble at all. See, even the Thalmor are not really enforcing anything on anyone.

While I'm sure the Thalmor will remain a presence in any DLC or Expansions for Skyrim, I'm fairly certain that the "Thalmor Issue" Won't be resolved until he next game. I see the seeds already planted in the various books and references in the game.

Just remember the name Lord Naarifin.

That's suspense for you...

If you want to see what happens with the Thalmor, you have to wait ~5 years until ES6.

If they do hopefully they include a set of unenchanted thalmor robes somewhere- console player here so no mods/console commands. :swear:

But will the Thalmor be a joinable faction, or the enemy?
Personally, I hate the Thalmor.

I hope they finish this Thalmor crap in the expansion, give room for a new and fresh story in TES VI. This is old already (and annoying for that matter).

I hate the Thalmor on 2 levels: There's the basic level, where I hate what they do and what they stand for; and then there's the "Ugh, Thalmor?" feeling I get whenever I see them, from a gameplay standpoint.

I dunno - the "they're so eeeevilllll" vibe actually makes me want to interact with them less, even to kill them. Some of my characters are Thalmor-haters, but most of the time I just avoid the guys. I really don't need a DLC devoted to them.

I read that some of the DLCs will really be expansions. I would bet we see something happen with the Thalmor.

I'd prefer it to be the main plot of TES 6 than an expansion pack. I have a feeling the next one will be on Alinor/Summerset Isles...

They don't have to do amything, but joinable Thalmor faction would be wicked. I can't wait to see the look on a Talos worshipher face as I run my sword through them.

I hope they make them Joinable as well. I'm against what they do, and banning the worship of Talos is ridiculous. But I would have loved to join them on my Altmer, and not still have every other Altmer or Thalmor member still look down on me -_-

I love the Thalmor; love to shoot arrows at them, hack them down and loot their now blissfully quiet dead bodies. I like to shout them off mountain tops; drag their bodies into rivers. A thalmor centric DLC would rock; I look forward to depopulating it..of Thalmor.. :gun:

I played a High Elf and I loved killing the Thalmor. It would be interesting to see the Summerset Isle too.

Duh. Yes, they definitley need to expand the civil war with a DLC that creates a canon ending that isn't affected by which side you pick. I get the feeling that the Empire is beyond saving, and its downfall is inevitable.

I think they should also do a Shivering Isles equivalent but with Hircine's Hunting Grounds. From what I've read, that map could be really pretty, as it is a vast jungle and I believe it is also mixed with a desert.

And a third 'expansion pack' DLC they could do is just taking us to a different part of Tamriel. Maybe Solstheim, maybe the Coast of Black Marsh, Atmora, etc.

i'd like to see more of them in the game.

only, early in the game, do you see the thalmer gang, walking with a talos worshipper. then, later in game, they are never seen again. they should be around, the whole game!
