bethesda...stop messing things up? PLEASE?

Post » Tue Jul 10, 2012 1:21 pm

after every update, i suffer horrendous glitchs and sometimes game-breaking bugs. Bethesda seems to break more than they fix, this was the case with oblivion as well, more in shivering isles though. In oblivion, i suffered from A HUUUUGE item-loss and lag spike bug. Now in skyrim, i have suffered everything from
flying mammoths landing on me, a game-breaking water bug, ruined npc's, a broken first person view, and a failed leveled enemy system...
does anyone else get MORE bugs when Bethesda 'fixes' bugs?

No, I don't experience many, if any bugs. I never even saw the backwards dragon bug.

You clearly didnt play morrowind much. It wasn't all that better.

Or Daggerfall. Daggerfall's buggy reputation is at least epic, if not legendary.

Only bugs I have are the misc objectives and Shadowmere. And only about 3 of them have been bugged out of the many I've done. I believe one was fixed and I could complete it, so that leaves 2 bugged misc objectives that cannot be completed. My copy of Skyrim is merciful.

An entire skill was completely broken in Morrowind (Unarmored). Completely broken as in, it did not work.

And it gets better. That bug has never been fixed in a patch to this day. Skyrim has gotten more patches than the last two Elder Scrolls games put together. I call that an enormous improvement over past Elder Scrolls games.

I'm guessing you didn't suffer through all the years of Bethesda never patching their games. Of leaving it to modders to have to make unofficial patches. Bethesda actually patching one of their games is heaven to me.

well i fixed the FP view bug...had to use console commands, but for ps3 and xbox users....i fear bugs may be a nightmare they will never wake from...hopefully, in the future, consoles will have a command menu
though....it could be used to obtain trophies and cheat...something ps3 and xbox officals turn their noses up at :/ to bad

well come to think of it, i think that happened with my spear skill eventually...it wouldnt level up... reloading fixed, but otherwise, morrowind seemed pretty well done to me

Lore was a person with 32 stab wounds to their back :( . But in every game I have ever played... lore is the first thing murdered, violently

Luckily, my Shadowmere only bugged out on me once in Oblivion, I eventually got him back. But in Skyrim, I just gave up on him. No where to be found.

I'm on the 360 and haven't had any patches or updates. I've been playing since the day of release and have yet to experience anything
in the way of a bug or glitch. None. Zero. Nothing.

Maybe the constant updating and patching is, in fact, the reason for all these bugs that so many players experience.

i think in skyrim, shadow mere can be killed...he died on my ps3 version (which eventually encountered a game-break error and i bought PC instead.)

exactly what im saying. the only problem i had with skyrim 1.1 was lag, obviously because someone in beth got lazy with the save procedures...

I just had to restart my charactaer because if you do a certain quest in Dawnguard before you do a certain quest in Skyrim, it'll break the main quest in Skyrim. I want quest bug fixes before DLC or more features.
