Yeah, but it's kinda silly that people in Japan have a full localized version and there are no spanish (waaaaay more native speakers around the world) subtitles avaliable. It can't do any harm to learn a second language, and yeah, translations can be quite clumsy - but this just doesn't make any sense at all.

When I found out that Portal had portuguese subtitles I thought it was a very considerate move from Valve, and was pleased to no end, even if I didn't use them myself. To think at the waste it would be for someone to play that game and loose all the memorable laughing moments...

The ridiculous thing is that they probably already have Spanish subtitles (if not vocalization as well) for the version sold in Spain. Not sure why it would've been so hard to add that to the American version too (which is what is sold all over LatAm).

While I'm not going to be another dbag and tell you to just learn english, foreign language subtitles would be hard to cram into a patch. Maybe a mod?

I WILL SECOND, THIRD, FOURTH, AND FIFTH THAT!

In regards to the thread, I've seen videos on youtube of skyrim footage in french. I refuse to believe that there do not exist spanish dubs of the game.

Are you guys implying that is easier for customers on over 20 countries to learn english than including spanish subtitles on the game? And move to a nation in which they have localized the game for Spanish? ARE YOU SERIOUS???

That's very considerate of Valve, but Portal is about 5 hours long. Skyrim on the other hand...

I second this. It would be much easier to create a modification. Then again, this is coming from someone who's terrible at learning a second language.

Strange that Skyrim does have spanish subtitles for Spain but Beth were unable to port that version to Latin America. Weird because Bethesda is becoming a specialist in porting :shakehead:

Press #1 for Spanish.

It is usually el dos.

But seriously, some comments here.. wow :)
Maybe people don't realize this, but the game is being sold South of the Border as well, and Ibero-America (term I personally prefer) has about 600,000,000 people, of which maybe 500,000,000 speak Spanish as a first language. If half a percent of that population buy the game, that's 2.5 million copies sold. From a business perspective, it would make sense to give at market that size added incentive to buy the game.

i find interesting books, journals, and notes but i cant read the damn things!

My eyes have finally adjusted enough that I can make out most books and journals, but it's still a mystery to what was just added into my inventory upon completing a quest. Even worse, when I first got it I couldn't even see my stamina, magic, or gold, since my ancient TV wasn't a flat screen. The only way I've been able to play it at all was by trading TV's with a friend.

Did you tried to change the language in Steam client? There are Russian, Czech, Polish, Italian and Spanish subtitles.

Hey, you see this kids? THIS is a poster with an honest issue!

I'm actually really surprised that there isn't spanish subtitles. If nothing else, it would just make good business sense.

Is the game region locked?

If not for PC then you could get a European version.

I'm usre it's got Spanish subtitles (and possibly even spanish dialogue) or all of Spain would be scratching their heads.

If you have it for the PS 3 it's region free so grab a European copy.

Microsoft tend to region lock their games as they're not as pirate friendly as other platforms.

Hope that helps you out a bit.
