Bethesda, the things you do to me..

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 10:12 am

I wouldn't be even a little surprised if a class action lawsuit is brought against Bethesda for what happened with the PS3 version (for those of you unfamiliar with the issues specific to the PS3, it's a problem that makes the game completely unplayable after your save file hits 10mb). Despite this atrocity, I STILL took my PS3 game to Gamestop and traded it in for $30 value, losing $30 from the retail purchase, and used this to buy not only one copy of the PC version, but a second copy for my wife for Christmas.

Should I boycott you, Bethesda? Absolutely. Your latest patch to "fix" the PS3 issues was laughable, and your explanation of simply "it will take a very long time to fix this issue" is nothing short of a slap in the face to Playstation customers.

But damn it, this game is WAY too good to make a stand. And no, this post doesn't have anything productive to say.

If it involves Government, court, politics, or any of the above then I'd much rather do something else.

Everything always happens to PS3ers... no PSN for what seemed like 2 months, Skyrim buggin out, being under control of Sony.... I think the world is trying to get rid of it >.>

Even if I hate the PS3 due to personal opinion, I feel bad for the people that do like it. I do with the best for them.

My mother was in a class action lawsuit, once. She won 47 cents.

Oh god, the last thing we need now is Glenn Beck crying on live television because he got an arrow in the knee.

A class action lawsuit is completely possible (if, possibly, OTT). What's with the derision and disbelief? Does nobody here know/understand under what circumstances a class action lawsuit may be initiated?

Even if there was a class action lawsuit, it would be a giant waste of time. The only people who make money off of most class action lawsuits are the lawyers.

It's not going to be fixed next week. Bethesda just released a statement saying that the PS3 issue will involve a "large time commitment" to fix, as it's a problem with how save data is stored on the PS3 system. Where did you hear it would be fixed next week, or did you just make that up?

they said that they realized there were many problems with the latest patch and that the new one coming out would fix the problems the first one caused and more

Professional PS3 players?

Yes, Bethesda angered them and they are going to do a class action lawsuit against Bethesda. Fox News will cover the event and Glenn Beck promised to took an arrow in the knee. I heard that the ads are going to be even more expensive than the Super Bowl ads.

The point is, it would teach Bethesda a lesson. I think it'd do more harm than good, but it's still a (not totally un-) reasonable idea.

We could donate money to poor African children. No... Let's spend money suing a game company. I'm sorry, I cannot stop to beat the dead horse. :sadvaultboy:

If there is a console, there will be a Professional Gaming Club, mainly a Korean thing.
