I'm sure they mention the Quadrillion unique characters within one of the Videos.

Seems like balancing in this game will be nearly impossible with that many weapon and attachment choices.

Yeah, I saw this.. Holy bat[censored], that's an insane number!

Well done Splash Damage :)

But this wont prevent the obvious thing of some items/options being more chosen than others

Number of ways to die: 45
Individual weapon sounds: 4,500
Lines of Dialogue: 26,000
Minutes of Music: 60

I hope these were not factored into that equation, as they feel like fluff numbers... As I do not believe you can choose how you die, your weapon sound will be based off weapon and mod (already covered), dialogue is covered in your voice pack... and music >.> cant choose that either unless I"m dipping into my xbox hard drive.

Either way. DAMN thats a huge number. Has TES come close to that?

My guess is that they only included the voice packs into the calculation - Why would they include music? That's just silly

That's a lot of dialogs to fit into 30 seconds cut scenes. Or does it include what you say in game? Prolly does.

As someone who's competent with discrete mathematics, I almost always find gaping flaws in math like this. I'd like to see the process to where these numbers came from. (In general it's always wrong and over inflated)

TES the elder scrolls, Oblivion? The face modeler in that alone makes even a number like 100 quadrillion look small. The math is easy too, for all categories of face modification, take each one, and find all available states (nose size might be a number from 1-50 for example, so you'd take the 50), and then multiply them all.

Yet changing the states of some features of the nose or cheekbones, would slightly adjust others related to the same in the same direction. Pretty sure that'd affect the over all number but I'm sure your right in that it is easily over that number.

Cannot wait for this, now that ME3 has been delayed to 2012, this is my most anticipated game (EDIT: of 2011) right after Skyrim. Pre-ordering tomorrow or on Monday so I can still catch the bonuses.

Oh, I'm not sure if some settings are locked out based on other settings, but if that's the case, it would reduce the outcomes substantially, but the results would still be much larger than this supposed 100 quadrillion.

So what are the chances of running into some who is your Doppelg?nger????

I love RPG and I normally spend hours creating a character.
It's nice to see a FPS that has such a deep character customization rather then everyone running around in the same snow camouflage
I'll be spending hours when I get the game just creating my character.

There'll no doubt be favourite set ups.. but still. I think it really shows how Brink is innovating further, especially with its multiplayer!

Also

People comparing Brink to BF etc and slamming Brink...

LOL
