Bethesda, what do you think about implementing facegen hashc

You know, enter number, get a face. Create face, get an unique number. Really liked this feature in ME2. And also i cant seem to be able to create non-ugly non-human faces...

It would've been nice, but I think it is too late.

Good-looking faces are all about regular ratios. Nothing is extreme. I think from front on, the important things are the eye position and mouth position. You look at the distance from the edge of the face to the outer edge of the eyes, and the inner edge of the eyes to the nose; and then also at the bottom of the chin to the bottom of the lips, and the top of the lips to the bottom of the nose. The inner distances are slightly smaller than the outer distances, like http://photos.last-video.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/photo-sublime-angelina-jolie.jpg, but the ratio is similar. For the profile, everything goes in a vertical line, except for the nose of course, which shouldn't be too big, like http://www.macwallpapers.eu/bulkupload/sixy%20Girls/Angelina/Angelina%20Jolie/Angelina%20Jolie%20Profile.jpg. Eyes should be set quite far back. The same basic rules apply for non-humans too.

However good-looking can = boring.

Not when everybody is a grandparent by default!

Well, at least Bretons are grandparents by default. Da wrinkles, they're in the base texture itself, not because of some overlay layer

Everyones idea of beauty is also different. I see all kinds of save games uploaded to the Nexus of someones idea of "beautiful", which comes no where close to my own interpretation of it. As Raestloz points out as well, it takes a few texture mods for to even get some races to have a chance at many people interpretation of attractiveness.

I have an easy time making Nord's look attractive but i can't for the life of me make a Breton, High elf or dark elf male look good. I'll keep trying for the breton and high elf, i decided i would just try to make my dark elf look like a guy you wouldn't want to mess with, basically a bad-ass with a serious attitude problem. Never had trouble with Argonian's or Kahjiits, they're hard to make unappealing unless you already hate beast races.
and Orcs, well they're not supposed to be cute, i mean really for me anyway, it's all about looking like i could tear someones face off when i play an orc. >:D

With my Orc I followed the principles I gave above, but I gave him a more "piggy" nose because I wanted him to look more like a beast, and I stuck his jaw out to put his fangs into relief. Wish I could post a screenshot but I play on Xbox.

Well im incapable. My faces all fall into uncanny valley pretty fast. There are loads of excellent faces floating around here, i'd love to play as one of these.

Look at this. Fanmade facegen ME2 http://www.masseffect2faces.com/

While i like the character detail in skyrim, i miss the flexibility of the Character creation in Oblivion, you could make some outrageous looking characters and that's what some people liked to do including myself from time to time, i don't like how they limited our options, and lets be honest they really did. I mean presets are great and everything but i would have liked the option to randomize faces and work off of that like in Oblivion.

My poor Blue Argonian named Squirtle won't be making a trip to skyrim i guess,
forever in Oblivion.... :(

I like this idea. Are you thinking of what they did in Mass Effect 2? It would make it so much easier to make J'derras when he starts over after a major patch.

Only mod I've installed so far was to get rid of the Breton wrinkles. Belladonna may be a witch but shes not a hag.

I think this is a good idea. It would also be useful to easily implement NPC's in the CK using faces you created in ingame chargen (which was a lot easier than doing it in the CS for Oblivion).
