Bethesda why aren't you doing anything about the bugs?

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 10:23 am

Thought I give this game one last chance, but after I ran into a bug where Stormcloaks camp in falkreath is gone and nothing helps to get it back and do the quests there I have had enough. And this is just one of many bugs here that never seem to be fixed and it is very quiet from bethesda about when and if these bugs will be fixed. So I want a straight answer if they are getting fixed, because as it is right now when i can't even finish Stormcloak questchain I really feel that bethesda should start to try to make a game that works.

Go to another cell, save, restart the game, go back, I bet the camp is there.

Cells sometimes do not render fully, it happens. Reloading takes care of it.

The games they usually release are so vast and interactive, it's almost inevitable that it will have bugs. They have already released 3 or 4 patches with another beta on Steam and it's not exactly cheap to do.

Just out of curiosity, what platform do you play it on?

i play on PC and have already tried to go back, even tried to reinstall game and nothing helps. So I give up, and just to make things clear, I don't expect any game to be bugfree, but i do expect bugs to be fixed, and they aren't. Bookshelfs not working, displaycases same thing and so on and on. Just to face fact, bethesda is like AOC, they got something that could been great, but they destroy it instead.

That is a matter of opinion, i am sorry that it is so broken feeling for you. It works perfectly fine for me and love the game. I am on xbox360 which doesnt have the luxury of mods to fix bugs.

Have you considered sending Bethesda your saved game and system specs? It is impossible to simulate all the different scenarios that can occur in the game, it would be an immense help to them to evaluate what is going on to cause that issue to happen.
As for fixing bugs this is probably the most supported game I have seen from a gaming company.

Had a patch from steam just yesterday. Actually they should release the patch log so we can know what has been fixed.

Currently "kill bandit chief of uttering hills" is still broken for me. But the number of bugs overall is quite mild and easily fixed via command console.

I'd like to see you fix every bug that this forum points out in the amount of time that this forum wants it done in... which is like, the next day... NOT TO MENTION YOU WANT DLC give them a break and allow them to do their job with out rushing because then you will be angry that it's rushed...

I've got a similar bug, but I've given up rights to complain about it because I've modded my game and it's likely a conflict with one of the mods that I've installed. There's no way they can anticipate bugs related to mods. So I live with it... move on to something else. Somewhere, somehow, the game figured out that it wouldn't spawn certain things. Don't stamp your feet. If it's truely game breaking for you, delete your save and start a new character. If it's a minor setback, just move on from it. Use the console to "finish" the quest involved and tell yourself it was simply amnesia.

I think this bug happens to only a small minority of people. They can not know every one bug.
