Nope! They are still a Moveable Static called, "FXVulturesNV". Bit wider radius this time, but essentially the same mechanic.

Nice work, I was a bit disappointed when I tried out the binoculars, couldn't really see much farther than you could without them. :P

Stick it in your Fallout Data folder. If you have the Steam version it's in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data or somewhere similar. Then when you launch the game, go to Data Files and check it. That should be it until we get a mod manager.

That should be all you need to do. Do you somehow have another version of the binoculars? I only found one type in the base game. The Caravan Pack too only adds regular binoculars and I tested with that so that shouldn't be an issue.

... I have to ask. Whoever made the 'reticle' of these binoculars... have you ever actually used binoculars?

Way too small.

AFAIK, you should have a center circle, clear... and two side lobes darker. Hard to simulate separate eye pictures, but between the dimming, and perhaps a blur-like shader...

(this is NOT a dig at your Better Binoculars mod, fyi. it's a rant at the original ones and games' representation of them in general)

There's no reticle on the binoculars. The field of view though is too small but that requires changing the associated nif file which I don't have access to at this time.

Binoculars updated to version 2.0.

The field of view is fixed and I've added a lot of new options.

The overlay isn't perfect yet. Sometime when I have more patience, I'll have another go at it.

It seems the Nexus ignores uploads if they have the same name as the file they are replacing. *shrug*

If you downloaded it just now and got the old version, please try it again.

I forgot to go back and replace/rename my files after I got this working and left it overriding one of the existing scopes. The new download has this fixed.
