A better way to sell loot!

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 1:55 am

I'm sitting here playing Skyrim, running around to multiple towns to sell all my loot and thought of a intersesting idea that could be part of DLC or and update.

It usually takes me 30+ minutes to sell loot after I raid a dungeon or two, very annoying. It would be awesome if it were possible to create your own shop to have the goods you are unable to immediately sell because the enchanted

ebony sword you found sells for 2000 gold and the shop owner only has 800 to barter with. Or be able to give it to your wife after she opens up a store and aquire extra money from those items after a few days pass when you collect

your money from her. Here's to this being a popular idea and getting added to the game!

Or you could invest in the Speech Skill Tree

With speech, you can expand a persons inventory by 1000, and you can invest some gold to expand it as well.

It used to be that leveling mercantile on its own would do that. Now I have to spend a ton of perk points just for another 1000 per merchant?

I imagine people prioritize either skills that "fit" their character (e.g., sneak for stealth characters), or at least are more concerned with things that keep them from getting their head beat in (armor/weapon perks). Just seems like there's usually more useful places to put perk points.

I'm not new to this game, I am aware of the Speech perks and the fences for the thieves guild, to sell everything I still have to go to multiple fences and it just takes time, I just thought the idea would be cool, it's more interaction and

would cut time off traveling multiple places to sell stuff.

Don't bother with any of that. Money is free in Skyrim, just collect daggers and enchant them whenever you're in need of funds. Or you can just run out and do infinite Companions quests for quick cash. Much more fun than screwing around with lugging tons of loot out of a dungeon. With one soul trapping weapon and a pack full of soul gems, you should never be short of funds.

There is a mod for it. Try Skyrim Nexus. I think there is a mod that gives merchants 10000 gold. I don't think it's necessary. If anything just don't invest any perks in the speech skill tree (this way you can sell most items in your inventory as no items will be overpriced) as the game is really not short of gold.

Enchanted daggers of Banish combined with potions of Damage Magic Regen = BAZILLIONAIRE!

I do like your idea though. I might even do a mod like this. ;)
