So reading another persons post in another topic got me thinking. There's going to be a Snowglobe for each DLC right?

Sierra Madre, not exactly a secret place
Honest Hearts, Zion National Park
Lonesome Road, Unknown, likely the grand canyon or some other desert valley.

But Old World Blues is an interesting thought. Unless the Big Empty is underneath some big huge city or US famous place, how can a snowglobe for the Big Empty be logically put out there? I mean, it was a top secret research facility. How can it be presented in such a way it doesnt countermand the secrecy of The Big Empty? (Unless that under a huge city/park bit is what happens)

Well Big Empty could have asked Vault Tec for some special edition stuff for it's employees, including a couple of snowglobes.

Maybe it will be like Hidden Valley. A well known landmark but only a few know the real purpose.

My thoughts exactly there are several very famous military bases where people have no idea whats actually going on there or just as likely would be to make it a know landmark but disguised as something orther than a research facility.

It'll probably be the Big MT Training Facility. We know it was a pre-war location, which is why the technology is so valuable. It doesn't have to be a real location in the world. Remember, the location is only called the Big Empty post-war, much like Novac.

Come to think of it, a Nellis snowglobe doesn't make much sense either.

I wouldn't try to find reason and logic in the snow globes. They are fun little collectors items, just about every game has some kind of collectors items to search for and pick up on your play through. The snow globes are purely for collection, trying to find logical reasons why a snow globe could be in The Big Empty is nit picking over nothing.

It will be a snowglobe of a big mountain, topped with a weather antenna. Maybe a little snow too.

The big-ass dome doesn't help with it's secrecy.

Nellis had a museum as they mention were its were they got the B-29 parts in the first place.

Its also "kinda" of a museum in the real world (or was) ...

Anyway...

In Van Buren the Big Empty was "Big Mt. Training Facility" and there are several Big Mountain locations, one being Big Mountain, Arizona, that is better known as Black Mesa.

Maybe the Big Empty snowglobe will be a big empty snowglobe.

Well, because the map is an open-world that we can return to at any time, and we've seen some brief outdoor segments from the Qore thing, perhaps the bit of outdoors that we go to will be a landmark.

No, its called Test Site and its a reference to the Nevada Test Site.

There is a "Old nuclear test site" location in the game but its not the NTS since that is NW of Las Vegas, not South, the Snow Globe - Test Site is not a reference to that location but to the NTS as we cannot even get there so we find it on the Lucky 38.

My guess would be Baker, California -- The 2004 movie "The Big Empty" takes place there.

I won't spoil the movie, but here's an exerpt about Baker from Wikipedia:

Baker is located in the Mojave Desert at the junction of Interstate 15 and SR 127 (Death Valley Road). Its elevation is approximately 930 feet (283.5 m) above sea level, which is much lower than either Barstow or Las Vegas, due to its location at the southern end of the Death Valley geological depression. The "World's Tallest Thermometer" is located in Baker, which would make for a mighty fine snow globe if you ask me...
