Post » Thu May 31, 2012 4:10 pm

Hello guys i have problem with performance after updating game to version 1.5.2.6. There are lot of fps drops and something like weird mice stuttering, lowest fps are in interiors and there are most annyoing stuttering.

my pc:
Proc: amd phenom ii x4 960t
mem: 4gb
gr: Geforce gts 250 1gb with latest drivers

With version 1.4 everything was ok ok very smoothly on ultra with official hd tex pack.
Any ideas??

I'm suffering same problem and I have different specs to you. Like you, 1.4 was fine by I experienced stuttering aroudn Forsaken Cave, or just outside Windhelm.

Lots of people have (almost) the same issues after 1.5 patch. For me too: 1.4 was just fine. After 1.5 more crashes to desktop and massive fps stutter/drop when changing a scene.
The real sad thing is that all these things were known in the beta stage ... yet, they released it without fixing all that :(

Hmmm, it's definitely not everyone though. I'm fine with the latest patch and applaud the newest enhancements to the game (kill cams and water realism).
Running a GTX460 here. Have you guys tried generating a new .ini yet? (saving the old one first of course)

I get crashes to desktop when trying to Load a different game or exiting to the main menu. I can handle those!
Most of my problems with 1.5 is the BLACK grass under trees, terrible shadow lines all over stuff and some FPS dips here and there that weren't present in the 1.4 patch. Hopeing it will be fixed.
I solved alot of my issues removing Skyrim all together, re-installing it (i have the Direct2Drive file downloaded, so re-install doesnt have to re-download everything.) I let it update and default the .ini. Its deffinitely in a better place then it was at launch!

Those horrible shadow lines over stuff is fixed by setting shadowbiasscale to 1.000 in SkyrimPrefs.ini

I figure out one more thing, my performance isn't so bad, im playing on evertyhing maxed out (AA 8x, FXAA) and when im in Riverwood exteriors i have at least 35fps and when i go inside at least 40fps but when im looking around camera stutters really much but fps is stable, i think something is wrong with the camera or mouse control - weird thing:)
