I was playing freeplay yesterday, and I don't remember seeing this game mode at that time. However, I noticed it right away when I went to play online today.
Was it always there and, if not, where did it come from? (EDIT: Nevermind. It looks like Spalsh Damage added it today)

Is the main difference the min players?

they just released this update a couple hours ago.

It's to give players access to server/games with less players. As a fix to the lag issues everyone seems to be having. (I don't know if this is their long-term fix. And honestly, it's not something that can just be fixed with the snap of a finger. 80% of the issue is players not configuring their routers for open NAT)

I dont think its with less players though. Havent had time to play it but I noticed the setting for 'Standard' and 'Big Team' are exactly the same. All the way down to the Min. and Max. Team size being 8.

EDIT: Nevermind... After banging my head off the computer for a good hour trying to comprehend why people are saying its only teams of 4v4 when everytime I checked it games were 8v8 I just learned its 4v4 humans and 4v4 bots.

OMG... someone has been asleep all day...

Now normal games are 4 humans + 4 bots VS 4 humans + 4 bots.


Big team games are 8 humans vs 8 humans.

It's to deal with lag. Only choose big team games if your conneciton speed is fantastic... or okay.
