Bit of Advice - SWIM SWIM SWIM

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 3:10 pm

One of the dragon masks you can find turns you into a scuba diver (along with getting good prices at the stores... these dragon priests were WEIRD).

Anyway, there are loads of things to find underwater. Even in the deep bits. So if you see water and it is deep enough to swim in... CHECK IT OUT. There is treasure to find. Not going to spoil it by saying what, just that it's there.

One thing I have never come across though I have actually looked loads of places... RAZORFISH. Anyone know of a place where they exist? I've even swam to the edge of the map before now and not found them.

Oh and to the Bethesda Map Makers... YOU FRICKIN ROCK. I love it when I find stuff in out of the way places.

I wonder if there is some unique item hidden in the waters of the Sea of Ghosts... like Fin Gleam in Oblivion.

You mean Slaughterfish? lol Yea, they do exist, mainly in the swampy waters. There are a few places that are deep enough to swim in the marshes around Solitude. Also, try the lake around Half Moon Mill (North of Falkreath). Just make sure you are close to the shore when they attack, since you can't draw your weapon under water LOL

These fish are so determined though, they follow you on land hahahahaha

@ Ciryathaen: OMG Fin Gleam! Yes, that was the first thing I would go after. It was around Anvil, right? lol Then I would go for Azura's Star, the Skeleton Key and Umbra hahahaha

Oh and I do love to swim! I made me a Waterbreathing ring! LOL

Its depressing going under water, dead bodies, drowned named victims, no thanks especially since the chests are no different from the chests in 4 level dungeons. fight mack loads fof Dragur only to find a chest with 100 gold. some ring and a iron sword ;p

They don't flop and flutter on land, or jump out of the water like In Oblivion, waaaiiii

Underwater is pretty pointless in Skyrim compared to the other TES games.

So far I haven't found anything interesting in the water. There used to be shattered Daedric shrines sunk deep in the ocean...

Yea, the coast of Skyrim is just littered with broken ships that really don't contain anything worth while! LOL

Man, I miss Oblivion! I need to play that again! :)

I'd explore underwater more, if I could defend myself.

I miss the Grottos of Morrowind. While there was not much else to swim for, those were worth the dive.

Lets just say that in one spider filled cave I found an underwater section and some LOVELY loot that was definitely worth the swim.

Like in the rest of Skyrim, there are lots of stuff that is lame but you then come across that one bit of good stuff that makes it all worth while.

I just wished there were more special stuff like Dawnbreaker. Instead I have to make my own. Like my axe called "In You End Ho" and hammer called "WhackAMole" but I think I got that wrong... should have been called "WhackASkeever".
