I have this really annoying issue on this quest that has my game coming to a screeching halt. When I am at Kynesgrove, Alduin is frozen in the sky. He's simply not moving. Sometimes the magical aroma surrounds the dragon mound, sometimes not.


I have uninstalled every mod on NMM (except Jaysus swords), and I turned off all the steam workshop files. I deleted all the mod bsa, esm, and esp files in my Skyrim Data folder. I only have Jaysus swords and SKSE. Also, before the quest starts, I saved at Riverwood before I talk to Delphine to begin the quest to keep trying.

I tried everything I can think of, save completely delete NMM - and thus more dramatically - reinstall skyrim. I could save the "Saves" folder in a temporary place, but would the saves still be corrupted? Hopefully not so and this is not to be.

I think there is a script that has gone awry, yet I can't get rid of it.

Any help would be very appreciated.
