Why is that? Now I cant talk to Delphine after killing the dragon because it doesnt absorb his soul after killing him. Is it because I killed 4 dragons before doing this mission/quest? If so, I have to do almost the whole game from scratch in a save file and that feels really dissapointing.

I killed like 20 dragons before even going to high Hrothgar. So that's not it.

thanks for answer.. if thats not it I cant understand what I should do now to get forward in the game.. really annoying bug by bethesda. I have tried to load and have killed that damn dragon 5 times now but it is the same everytime, it doesnt absorb his soul and delphine only replies " wow, look at that" :s
btw I play the 360 version. Anyone know how to solve this, much appreciated!

I can't absorb some dragon souls, cause these are dragons i already killed multiple times.

Ok, then I will try load from sctratch and do the quests over again, not killing any dragon before doing this.. feels really boring to begin all over again though..

I'm not sure, but I think I saw somewhere here, that there is some command in the console(PC ver.), to end/finish current quest. Something like that... Tho, I'm not totally sure, try to check it out.
If it exists, you will save yourself a lot of time...

-edit- cant find how to do it, btw because this is a mainquest it sounds strange if you could quit or end it??

It's simple and easy to solve this via console. Does not need reload a old save.
Do this:

Open console ~ (for me it's the ' key)

1 - showquesttargets
2 - Page up and Page down untill you find any questID you think could be your current quest. If you're not sure. Make a quicksave and do this:
movetoqt QuestID

Do this for each quest you find potentially the quest you're looking for.

Once you found, do this:

setstage Quest ID XXX (try numbers from 0 to 100, but be aware.. 100 is "complete quest).

To open the console, you have to be in the game, load a saved game... then hit the "~" key on the keyboard --> [img]http://www.ctdlc.org/remediation/2-Type/images/tilde.gif[/img]

Well played through from scratch and now it worked.. so it must have been that I already slayed that one from this quest it didnt absorb his soul. Atleast I can continue playing the main story now.
