Bleed perk in two handed tree bugged?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 4:44 am

Has anyone noticed that the bleed effect perk hasn't been working for them? Ive been using only bound battle axe so far but I thought it would still recieve all effects from its respective tree.

Bleed effect stacks everytime you hit an enemy so id say it is usefull against all opponents.

Yes, this is the common argument, but there are 2 problems against arguing for this skill:

1. Stacking bleeds is great, but stacking means repeatedly hitting your enemy, the bulk should be done by the strike, not by the bleed.

2. Bleeding is a damage/time effect. You have to leave your enemy "on the board" to see a noticable effect from it, this is the opposite of what you normally want to do.

Useful- yes I suppose- exactly what quantifies useful? hard to say.

I make the argument bleed damage is best for a axe and shield build. Something with very good defense and relatively limited offense.

Swords with their critical damage or Maces with their crushing blows are better than axes in almost every possible way.

Except in the coolness factor.

What's more badass than a Nord swinging around a big axe?

A Nord swinging around a even bigger axe?

Axes should have a chance of proccing an attack speed increase which stacks. Building momentum especially with a dual-wielding axe berserker would be very cool and very beneficial.

Bleed Damage is like most Poison Damage. It helps, but if you are waiting around for the extra effect to kill the enemy, you will be dead before they are. It just adds a bit to the battle to make them end sooner. Also, like the other weapon specific 2 Handed Perks, they are not that effective until you have all 3 of the Perks.
