Is "Blood on the Ice" bugged?

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 1:18 pm

Full spoilers below (except killer's identity)
I "completed" Blood on Ice, by telling Jorlief about the wizard. I realised after he was sent to jail that he wasn't the killer. So i looked at the wiki to see how i can re-trigger the quest, and heard a killing would happen 2 ingame days later. It has been probably 5-6 ingame days later. No crime scene.
Is it bugged? How can i get the next murder to occur?

***EDIT: also, maybe i misse the scene. Where exacrty does the crime scene take place (where's the body?) thanks.

There will not be another crime scene, you will need to talk to people and be told that the murders haven't stopped which should start up the quest again, I can't remember if it is a particular person so I will have a little nosey around the wiki.

Edit: Well apparently there is but I don't remember it, my character was just told about it by a NPC which enabled the quest telling me to speak to the Wizard in prison.

From what I remember, you have to leave the city for a while, then come back a few days later. When you get there, you will find another dead body and a guard. Talk to the guard and then go and visit the guy you wrongly accused in jail. This quest kind of reminded me of LA Noire a bit, because I wrongly accused a lot of people in that game too.

Added a little edit that you might have missed and will give a hint below that will help you later on once you have the quest up and running again.

Below will be a spoiler for you but might also save a bit of annoyance so whether you read it or not is up to you.

Spoiler
The wizard will tell you to patrol a certain area inside the city and the quest arrow will be pointing to a point between the Inn and the city gates. Where you really want to be is around the market area where the Blacksmiths and Alchemy store are.

Ahah!
No crime scene, but i talked to the wizard and he told me to chill at the stone market.
I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!
I knew that person was the killer all along! Those embalming tools on his stand in his house caught my eye, as did his personality.
What a detective i am.

Nice to see you get some closure, a lot of people are having trouble with that particular quest.

One last piece of info for you for when you buy your house there.

Spoiler
Before buying furnishings there, make sure you choose the option to have all the nasty stuff cleaned up first otherwise it will remain there forever and some additions will not be added despite the fact that you paid for them.

This is why I love the quest but hate the execution. It was fun being a detective and I had felt kind of stupid for blaming the wrong guy initially lol
