Bloodkaal blade V Ebony blade

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 2:46 am

I have never really had a 2 handed character and I was gonna start one but what do you people think about the two swords when compared?

Ebony blade - Kick ass permanent health drain that you can make even more potent but you need to murder random people (I would just do it on random travellers and fishermen at crab huts) and looks like a katana

Bloodskaal - A mid ranged magic attack that reminds me of "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward sword" and looks like a fearsome greatsword

Well the ebony blade is kinda weird, it behaves as both a two-handed and a one-handed. (It benefits from perks in the one-handed tree and not the two-handed if i remeber correctly).

I think you need to Murder your followers/friends for the Ebony blade, not just random people. Plus, the Ebony blade gains from the One Handed Perk Tree somehow.

The Bloodskaal Blade is pretty good all-round. It's ability is like a Damage Health enchantment I THINK. It damages health directly. I might be wrong though...
But if so, it's good for Short and Mid-range combat.

Edit: Ninja'd by loled.

Nah Ebony Blade got fixed in one of the latest patches. Havent tried it out yet tho.
I love the Bloodskaal Blade but i'd like to know if the enchantment is leveld.

Well, the ability, for me, does 30 Damage.
I think UESP says the same, so I believe it's fixed.

i always use volendrung when useing a two handed weapon. Ebony blade is just to evil for me and i only use the bloodskaal for the puzzle doors.

If you havent noticed though the bloodksal does an extra 30 (depends on level, 30 for me though) damage when you power attack, my bloodskal does 76 damage normally and when i use a power attack gets bumped up to 106 because the enchantment sends out a wave and uses the attack. so you do wave damage and regular damage together in the same hit if youre point blank using it but if youre far away and only use the shock wave you get only 30 damage. I think thats what makes it probably one of the best swords in the game for two handed users.

get bloodskal, you don't need anything else

The Ebony Blade/Mail is pretty evil,
It requires many sacrifice, I think I could have hired a Merc instead of the Drunk Markarth Guy.

I like the bloodskal because first it just looks badass and second it doesn't require soul gems to recharge
