Boethiah's Calling Quest

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 2:18 am

Is there anyone that is morally dark I can use to sacrifice for the quest. I am trying to play the "good guy" character and really don't want to sacrifice a good person. Any ideas?

If you're trying to play a good guy person, then you might want to just forget doing that quest. Because it only gets worse from there.

There is an executioner you can sometimes find in the winking skeever, don't know what his personality is like, but he might be a good potential candidate given his line of work...

I know but I am trying to get the Oblivion Walker Achievement so I might just have to buckle down and pick someone.

Thanks, might try and seek him out and give him a interview. See if he meets the qualifications for the job.

Jenassa in Whiterun would probably be the best choice. I always use her, myself.

She's in The Drunken Huntsman. 500 gold to hire, she's a mercenary.

She's rather immoral, as she doesn't care if you slaughter innocents - whereas most companions will object to it.

She even admits she likes to kill. All the time. And she says she an artist at it.

I know someone that's getting sacrificed to a certain Daedra.

Yeah, Jenassa would probably be a better choice than Ahtar.
Just cuz he chops someone's head off when you first enter Solitude doesn't make him a bad guy. Executioner's just a job.
Only thing don't like about him is that even though you help him out and become his friend (so he'll follow you), he still cautions you to behave because his dungeon can break even the strongest willed people, etc.
Shut up. The whole of Solitude couldn't contain me if I had a mind to escape. :3

Well if you are after Oblivion Walker there is a certain companion you unlock from a quest in Markarth. Who is rather unrepentantly evil. I was going to use her for the sacrifice but couldn't get myself to complete her quest so I just murdered her...granted I still did the Boethiah quest using Uthgarde (I mean she beat to death a sparring partner) but I can't say I enjoy it. I mean at least quests like Vaermina, Namira, Mehrune's(Though I still murdered the cultist guy...pretty dagger is pretty...at least I told Dagon to [censored] off), Hircine, Clavicus have choice in how to do it. You can still accept the quest and remain a good aligned character. With Boethiath's and Molag Bol's there is no 'good' way to complete the quest, which is a pretty major flaw in my opinion.

Well she is a mercenary...
I really think it depends on Roleplaying... For one I (given I only played " good" characters untill know) I used her but never saw this side of her.
If you're an evil character sacrifice the most unambiguously good character (lots of choices there) and if you're good.. Take a good look at your companions disposition.. Faendal for example will not be supporting you if you're fighting city guard, and lots of companions don't talk to you (except for ...you're not supposed to be here) if you're trespassing.
Also if you're planning to do the daedra quests.. (but she's is a good companion) but still want to off the most evil one.. Eola.. I wont spoil.. why.. (hint Markarth) (edit: grmbl.. ninja'd)

Eola, hands down. If you're still not sure on this point go to Markarth and talk to Brother Verelus to get a quest about mysterious happenings in the Hall of the Dead. If you, playing the good guy, can get through that quest you'll see there are a lot of people in Markarth that need to die. Also, this quest is by far the worse of the Daedric quests in terms of doing morally evil things.

I can already tell you that your "good guy" can't be good and get the Oblivion Walker achievement. You will have to murder at least two people on the quests that are unquestionably good. Just giving you the heads up.
