Does it get cleared out or something after you do the Hircine quest there? That's the first time I visited the place, and I'm not turning it up. It's a windy place though, I may have overlooked it...

The cave changes after (or during) the Hircine quest. So if you didn't get the blade before I don't think the shrine with the blade are there anymore.

Its a pity though because I found that sword was awesome, used it until I had Chillrend
