Book related quests

Does anyone have a list of books that give you a specific quest when read ? Or if anyone knows a few titles i would appreciate it.

Im level 44 and have only come across one book that gave me a quest and that was the Red Eagle one. This was one of the first quests i completed and i can't remember if i had to flick through the pages (simulating reading it) to obtain the quest. Do i have to flick through the pages and get to the end of a book before the quest is given or can i simply just press A (Xbox) to read and back out quickly.

Anything with a unique enough title i have pressed the option to read but never actually flicked through the pages and i have still only received one quest through reading a book.

Red Eagle is the only one I know of that actually gives a quests.

Some books hold clues as to how to get past puzzles, but you generally find those right next to the puzzle in question.

Red Eagle is the only one I have come across that updates your Journal. There are two other books in game that do this, but I have not found them yet. One is in Dawnstar, the other is near a shipwreck.

There are a few books that give you misc quests but no Journal Update. For example, there is a camp site that you come across. In there is a book that describes some adventurers and their exploits in a cave. You have to go in there and clean up their mess. To this end, I read each and every adventurers journal as those can give clues about other places to go.

Reading Lost Legends is one of several ways to start the Forbidden Legend quest. This and Red Eagle's sword are the only quests that can be triggered by reading a book.

Of course not! You can learn a lot about the lore from the books. Some of them are funny; most are well written and extremely enjoyable. Even the series, long and tedious at first glance, can turn out to be fascinating - like The Real Barenziah, for example.

If you don't like to read, however, you should still be on the lookout for the skill books - reading them raises one of your skills. There are 91 of them in total, which means they can net you some additional levels.

The skill books are easily identified when you brush your cursor over them because of their individual value and so i do read those (well i simulate the read, not actual read).

Idk, some might say im missing out on some good reading but its a personal preference of mine when playing this great game to be in the thick of some action. If im reading a book it means im not killing bandits etc....
