Hey everyone!

Is it possible to place bookshelfs with books in CK?
If yes, how?

You can place an empty bookcase or other shelf and then place individual books onto them, they need rotating to stand them up, you also need to turn havok settling off on each book so they dont go mental when they load in the game.
It also helps to put a collision marker against the shelf so walking into it doesnt make them fall out.
You can take these books off the shelf in game and put them back, although putting them back is somewhat of a challenge.

I dont know if you can preload books into the activated bookshelves.

Yes, you can preload books. It works just like you would preload weapons onto plaques. I think you would associate them with the orange shelf container rather than the individual dummy book spaces that you place onto the actual shelf.

If you're new to shelving, there are a couple of good tutorials on setting up bookshelves on YouTube, a couple of them are linked from the wiki. You can start by copying one from a player house, but you should see how to build one from scratch so that you make sure to copy all the pieces-parts. It's pretty complicated, and it's very easy to mess up, but certainly doable.

This will get you started:

But search for the videos, too.

You can also look in the warehouse cells for some prefab bookshelves, including one for the player house.
