Bos Power Amor

Im not really sure which power armor I want to see on the BoS. Although the T-51b is more cannonical it was very ugly in fallout 3.

It all depends on which Brotherhood we will see.

Girl scout scum: probably T-45d.
Badass Western Brotherhood: probably T-51b.

With that being said, I would prefer the T-51b.

I liked how in the original Fallout games the power armor looked bulbous and silly, much like the mutants, and actually fit with the 1950s sci-fi vibe. For Fallout 3, most everything got overhauled to look cool and maximize mass appeal. Unfortunate. Personally, though, I just want power armor that has damage threshold.

I'd like the T-51b, it just looks bad-ass. But if you could customize the details of it, that would be pretty cool.

I agree. The T-51b was super ugly. Maybe they can just get a new type of power armor that is better than both (in looks and function) and make it super rare.

This is Fallout, not Dress Me Up Barbie. Personally I see nothing wrong with the appearance of the T-51b. Frankly I think it looks better than any of Bethesda's Fallout 3 power armor designs.

As for the topic, obviously the Brotherhood should be using the T-51b. I see no reason for them to start using an inferior model that wasn't even present in the region during the first two games.

Your argument seems slightly opinionated and I wasn't referring to the T51b when I said look dumb atleast try to read the whole post before shooting off at the mouth.

In Fallout, a laser pistol might look silly, but at the end of the day it would still slice you in half at range. Power Armor, while looking bulbous and low tech, still made you a walking tank. It was all a part of the charm. Having played the originals, and having experienced the brilliance of the setting and art design, I would like nothing more than to see it return.

Both the paladins, star paladin and knight captains should have T51-b and knights and initiates should have T45-d but both need to be "polished up" and way harder to get plus they should be called by their real names not power armour.

It seems possible that in as long as it's been game time since FO1 and FO2 that the BoS has found better power armor right? Maybe they could now have a better model that looks better too.

In a society of gamers who are beginning to lean more towards cosmetic appeal and personalization I can't see it happening.

The weapon and armor assets in Fallout 3 were pretty lackluster when held up to the originals, so I don't quite see what you're getting at. Am I to infer that LCD appeal trumps inspired art design in a marketplace of increasingly discerning gamers? Der, what?

T-45d armor fan here.

Dunno why... my guess is I can more easily "relate" the look of the T-45d armor to the survival/post apocalyptic feel of Fallout rather than the more sci-fi inspired T-51b armor... Plus, the T-45d looks more like something the US army would come out with rather than the T-51b.

dude if your'e trying to make me look dumb youv'e failed miserably by missing my point entirely the weapons and armor in fallout 3 may be "lackluster" but atleast they don't make you look like a big dork.

So looking rad is more important than cohesive art design that is thematically relevant to the story you're telling? Again man, you seem overeager to make my point for me.

and by using big words all the time you seem to be trying to be an over achiever to make up for your lack of real arguement and placating to ego rather than attempting a discussion.

Unlikely since the T-51b was apparently the height of pre-war armor technology. Keep in mind that the Brotherhood can't create their own either. I suppose they could have looted the Enclave's old power armor.

That's what im thinking that they could maybe take a few of the designs from the enclave armor and implement it into the brotherhood armor.

I have to agree on that, I like the look of T-51b, better than I do the Brotherhood power armor in Fallout 3, in fact, in Fallout 3 it was my favorite power armor.

But we don't necessarily need to have only one, both armor types could be included in the game, maybe T-51b is the stronger of the two reserved for higher ranking Brotherhood members, and T-45d is the weaker one, but if I we can only have one, it should be the T-51b, not only do I like it's design better, but it also seems to make more sense, being as this is the same Brotherhood we got in earlier Fallout games, I'm not even sure why Bethesda felt the need to change it in Fallout 3, even if the East Coast Brotherhood wasn't as well equipped, I see no reason why they couldn't at least have a few suits of T-51b left over.
