Well, it does but only on very low level animals. The highest level animal it worked on for me was an ice wolf. But I try it on a bear or saber cat and it still attacks. I assumed that it was supposed to be like that but I read the wikki and it mentions it's useful for fighting giants because it works on mammoths. I've yet to try that, but I know it doesn't work on larger animals because I just tried it on a saber cat and it attacked my companion.

So is it bugged? Is there some trick to it like it will only work before the animal attacks you? Or is it linked to your level somehow in that it gets more powerful as you level up, and it's simply yet to catch up with the larger animals I've encountered?

It's annoying because it's pretty much the only advantage to playing a bosmer, beside the disease resistance which isn't that big of a deal. Orcs and Redgaurds get cool combat abilities, other races get higher magica ect. This is all we Bosmers get and it doesn't work.

Any help?
