Bosmer Survival

Really have missed this (even on morrowind, did this all the time. The most fun ive ever had in TES)

Creating a Bosmer Ranger (using bow, daggers in case of melee). Not doing the main quest, I really couldn't care for it. The point of this character is to explore and kill/steal and survive.

The reason for this, is because thats how i play these games. I seem to get the most fun doing this. And i always spend so many hours doing it. Now with the crime system as it is. It allows for even more fun as the bounty isnt across Skyrim. Only selected towns.

Now the rules (if you can call them rules) is as follows;
  • No Magic - i dont want to use it. I'm a Ranger, not a caster.
  • Don't quick load - For example, if i stuff up pick pocketing i deal with it, i know for a fact i wont be be successful all the time.
  • No Shouts - I wont be doing the main quest
  • No companion - rather kill them anyway
Those are a few at the moment, im contemplating on whether to do quests or not. Thoughts?

I'm not sure if i want to join the DB, ill probably just kill them too. Thoughts?

Also, screw the imperials and stormcloaks. They'll die too. Thoughts?

Anything else you have for me to do send it across. I know this sounds pretty messed up, but i am 100% normal :biggrin:

Turning off the HUD and not using the ingame-map, just the paper-version, and you're set :)

I started a Bosmer like this, except I'm doing the main quest (my second character -- it hadn't yet occured to me not to). Reluctantly, though; she doesn't want to be the Dovahkin. Although the shouts can be fun. I like Elemental Fury. Wicked with twin daggers. Alchemy is good too. Do you do that? It's fun, and you can usually find an alchemy lab at inns, and at other locations through exploring. Poison and bows/daggers are a good mix, better if you make your poison yourself.

I was going to do Thieves Guild, but I haven't because I kind of hate everybody in Riften. I mean me, not my character. Although she hates them all too. After stumbling into a Daedric quest, I've decided she's got a taste for the dark side (or she's gone insane), so I'm thinking of doing DB. Might eventually do Thieves anyway. The Imperials and Stormcloaks can all go kill each other, but I've taken a strong dislike for the Forsworn and love exploring the Reach for their hideouts. Don't like mages either. Or bandits. Or Thalmor.

One BIG mistake I made with her -- fast travelling everywhere. I suggest you don't do this. It's useful in certain situations, but tends to make the game too, well, game-y. The most fun I've had with her is when I've not used it and just chanced upon interesting locations. She's sort of a broken character now (I found myself more and more doing 1H/shield and smithing, like my first character. And she's Thane of two holds and owns two houses and wears fine clothes around town and glass/elven armor in combat. I'm RP-ing it, but it's really because I lost focus. Her perks are all over the place), but a Bosmer ranger is definitely a lot of fun. I'll probably try one again and try to keep more to the archetype. NO smithing, that's a must.

Started a dark elf thief/assassin like this,but i decidedto use magic because my main character is already an archer/dagger sneak thief (going through the main quest onhim). This character isnt taking quests, he will be sneaking and stealing andcausing havoc wherever he goes. It is quite fun so far. He doesnt take sides (stormcloak, imperials, dark brotherhoodd, etc.) He only does whatis best for him.
