How the hell do you even come up with that amount of money?!
Loot all the high end pieces from every dungeon crawl you do and sell them in town. That's how I got mine. Alchemy is another way. Some potions sell for quite a bit of money and the mats are pretty easy to pick up as you travel about. And if you want to know how to get the loot back to town, get a horse. Once the dungeon is cleared ride the horse back there or fast travel, which ever suits your play style. Walk through the dungeon and pick up everything you want to sell. Once you're overburdened it's a slow walk but you only have to do it once this way. If you have the windsprint shout you can use that to speed up the process. Once back outside get on the horse and you can ride at full speed or fast travel even though you are overburdened. Get back to town and sell everything. Whiterun is great if you fast travel because there are 3 vendors right inside the gate where you appear that will purchase armor and weapons, the girl outside, the guy inside, and the elf in the Drunken Huntsman.
Breezehome, fixed up, is actually my favorite house. It's right inside the main gate, it has tons of storage, everything is close together, and it has a very nice look to it. There's a blacksmith right outside the door. The only thing really missing for me is enchanting but I don't do that very often so I can live without it being right there. Several things bug me about Proudspire. For one they didn't put any storage areas at the enchanting and alchemy stations. Why? Donno, but it svcks. The back door will not unlock from the outside even though I have the key. it's too big and spread out for my taste. And the worst thing is that it's too far inside town requiring a fairly long run to get to it every time you teleport there, even longer if you enter at the gate. I also don't like that the mannequins won't hold weapons even though modders have had that function for a long time now on theirs. And none of the weapons display racks work correctly although that's not just limited to Proudspire. Bethesda really could stand to take a few tips from the modders where housing is concerned. The modded houses are always so much better.
