Bought a Nintendo 3DS Yesterday

Post » Sun Jul 03, 2011 8:46 am

So I broke down and bought a Nintendo 3DS and I have to say it's a nice little handheld, it gives my PSP a run for it's money (but I still love my PSP---it has all my music on it). The 3D feature is nice but man does it give you a nasty headache (even my eyes weren't spared either, specially turning around and getting on the computer---that wasn't fun either). But with headaches and eye problems aside I enjoy playing The Legend of Zelda: OoT 3D (I love how Nintendo redesigned the enviroments....well done) and I can't wait for StarFox 64 3D as well.

Yup, it's an awesome little device. :)

Although the 3D effect can give you a headache, I highly recommend playing with it turned on. You'll actually get used to it fairly quickly and it won't give you headaches anymore.

I've kinda wanted to get one, but 3D has never worked for me.

I too finally broke down and purchased one, what can I say, I really wanted to play OoT (beat it yesterday, was extremely fun, will probably play through Master Quest soon)

I can't see 3D due to my one eye, but I really enjoy the little device. The E-Store is something I can see being good once I can get a stable internet connection.

It's like what someone told me "the 3D is just a gimmick..." but it's a cool one the DS but I don't use it all the time when playing it. Exsample: When I play LoZ:OoT 3D I only use the 3D feature when I enter new areas (either overworld, towns or dungeons) for the first time then when I see all I want in 3D I swich it back to standard mode until a cutscene. Now a game like StarFox 64 3D looks like the type of you want to play in 3D always. I have the video of it on my 3DS and even the video (which can be played in 3D) looks amazing.

The 3D hasn't given me headaches or anything yet, but it does drive me crazy that you basically have to hold it exactly in place for it to work right, even in games with motion controls. :banghead:

It's nice that they let you turn it off though.
