Bound Blade

What are your views and opinions on the spell sword, Bound Blade in the Conjuration school of magic?
I am currently using this on PS3, and it takes forever for it to spawn in my hand once I have casted the spell. I also find it annoying when it runs out of time half way through a stealth when I'm coming up to an assassination!

What do you think about it?

Dual casting doubles the length of time you have it, I just don't use it because most of my magic users svck in melee range.

I think It's pretty awesome. Been using it ever since level 5 and I'm now level 19. Yeah it's kind of annoying when your spell runs out but if you shout or something before spawning it again you won't get hurt!

Oh and a quick question, I read on here that once you reach level 50 in conjuration, court wizards such as Farengar and Calcemo then sell the bound bow tome. Well I'm now level 53 and it hasn't appeared in either of their inventories. Is there any other way to obtain the spell tome? Like a specific location?

I find it highly effective early game, as once its perked its as good as a standard daedric sword. And you can get it perked faster than It takes other skills to come up like destruction if you cast/dismiss/cast a few times in combat with easier opponents. Also alchemy potions can boost the time conjurations last and the ingredients are abundant, I regulary sell them in stacks of 20 or more. Plus the benefits of using and perking it are that its an automatic soul trap and banish enchant it has.

Bound bow can be bought at the college in winterhold.

What svcks is that bound bow isn't available on vendors until you reach 40~50 conjuration(theres a chance to happen earlier but usually past adept conjuration perk)... the bound bow is my favorite of all time bow, since Skyrim lacks good named bows, having one with awesome design and infinite arrows(I usually have a hard time stocking arrows on my new characters) is really handy :D

I dislike it, personally I prefer the look of a nice daedric or ebony sword or dagger.

If you haven't noticed the blade of the Bound Sword is the same looks as the Daedric Sword :) hehe but I do understand where you're coming from!
