Bound weapons vs real ones

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 6:21 am

Have to say so far i'm enjoying this game a lot. For my first go i'm going with a battlemage build, with one hand sword and destruction/resto/conjuration on the other hand. As I'm lvling up i've switched to using summoning bound 1 handers but wondered if using real weapons woukd give me more attack?

My thinking at the mo is to stick to using bound weapons until i get to lvl 60+ then switch, hoping that enchant/smithing will give it more attack than bound.

Let me know thoughts pls. (i'm only lvl 20 right now)

thx,
riv

I'm pretty sure bound weapons have the same strength as daedric. That's all I can say.

I leveled up using bound sword and it was great for a long time but once you start getting enchanted ebony weapons they become useless (you can't enchant bound weapons). I wouldn't bother putting any perks on it, since they will become useless eventually, but before you find a better weapon you can use the spell to increase your conjuration!

I was making a Conjuration battle-mage and comparing the bound sword with regular ones, and for me it seems that the bound swords are not as powerful as the regular ones. The one good thing about them is that they get up both Conjuration and One-Handed and the same time.

Yeah, I don't even know how effective they are comparatively, but I enjoy using them. They advance one-handed, conjuration and they don't weigh anything. Also, they look cool.
