I just got the Soul Eater perk for my bound bow and the animation for capturing a soul isn't triggered. Capturing the souls is working though. I find this a little disappointing because i love the soul trap animation.

Does anyone know if this is a bug or working as intended?

The perk seems to lack a script that the enchant has: "Scripted effect for the Soul Trap Visual FX" (magicsoultrapfxscript) - that is likely to be the problem.

Quick edit: This is referring to the magic effects associated with them, which are called PerkSoulStealerFFContact and EnchSoulTrapFFContact.

I have noticed this as well, but the visual effect works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I play on Xbox 360.
