Currently I am suffering from the glitch that won't allow my character to learn Dragon Shouts. Fortunately I was able to learn 3 shouts before this glitch occurred: Whirlwind, Unrelenting Force, and Kyne's Peace. If Bethseda is unable to fix this problem, would I still be able to play through the game with just the 3 shouts I have listed above? Thank you for any input!

I though of that but my motor skills and coordination seem to be fully functioning lmao

eh, is your glitch related to dragon souls only? Because later on in the main quest the greybeards teach you a shout that is required to progress the questline. And a few more shouts that are given to you later on are also required.

I am able to absorb dragon souls and learn dragon words from word walls, but when I try to unlock the shout, regardless of how many souls I have absorbed, a message box appears telling me that Dragon Souls are required to unlock shouts. Later on I think I am supposed to learn Fire Breath from the old men at High Hrothgar but am not to that point in the questline. I imagine I won't be able to learn that shout either. Apparently I have painted myself into a corner. Damn....

Are you sure you are pressing the right button in the shouts section? A lot of people get the same "Dragon souls are required to unlock shouts" message even if they have available souls. For example, pressing X on PS3 on top of an unlockable shout just brings up that message, but when pressing square it will ask "Spend soul?"
