Breezehome sleeping question

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 10:30 am

Hello all. This is my first post but I've logged quite a few hours in-game so far, reaching level 34.
I recently got the Breezehome , fully furnished, but when I try to go to sleep it counts the hours down but then there is no feedback telling me I'm rested or well rested. Am I missing something? Also there is another bed in the other room but it tells me it is "owned" and I can't use it.
Thanks in advance for the replies.

I'm in the house in Markarth and I haven't gotten the rested message for a while.

Which bed are you trying to sleep in? If it is your housecarl's, then I don't think you get the bonus, but then I have never tried to sleep in that bed.

One thing to try first is go rent a room in a tavern and sleep. See if it gives you the Well Rested message there. If not, there might be an issue with your character.

I believe they are both bugs. The other bed is "owned" and belongs to your housecarl Lydia, but she prefers to sit in your room.

If you check under the magic effects menu, you should be well rested. Not sure why the visual prompt does not appear in this house. It does in others.

This.

If you check your active effects it should show "well rested." For some reason, you don't get the visual notice that you do with rented beds. The same applies to the lover's comfort bonus at Breezehome (at least on the PS3).

Werewolves won't get the well rested message.

^More correctly, werewolves don't get ANY resting bonus whatsoever

I have a character that doesn't seem to get sleeping bonuses and is not a werewolf... don't really care too much but w/e
