Brink and chracter class loadouts

"I am a huge fan of this game, and I am a fan of Enemy territory Quake Wars as well. I would like to see class specific loadouts. Like I can choose the weapons for my operative but when I change class at command posts it would be nice to have a different set of weapons for my soldier. It would give each class more identity.

Also in Quake Wars which did come out in 2007, each class did have a different main weapon and that could be substituted before respawning, I am surprised that Splash Damage didn't include something similar to give each class more of an identity... I don't know what do you all think? It would be a very easy thing to do, about every other MP game does...."

I'm pretty damn happy that no weapons are class-specific, leaves room for a lot of freedom and personalisation in play-style. I wish more FPS games would ditch class-specific weapon sets, since the supportive actions they can do are enough of an identity. If that's what your saying?

+1.

i always thought it was odd how games limit weapons. i kinda like how flexible brink is. maybe BF wouldnt work if medics or soldiers could have sniper rifles (imagine, eek!) but with brink it works.

I think it would be better to be able to have specific base loud outs for each class. Like a Galactic and Sea Eagle for a OP and a Bulpaun, Magnum loud out set up for an engineer and so forth. Help with the differences in playstyle.
