Brink's audio & headsets don't mix.

Ok among the myriad of issues with this game, the much vaunted audio is breaking up for me. It's fine when through my tv however I play using astro A30's with a wirless mix amp. And the audio cuts out while firing weapons an such. This is the only game (in my collection) that has this issue, anything you could do with you much needed patch would be nice.

Same here. I am using Turtle beach PX5s and I noticed the audio was cutting out. Especially when there is alot of gunfire going on, the sound just starts to stutter and cut in and out. I thought it was an issue with my headphones at first so I popped in several different games. Dead Space, MW2, black ops. Spent about 3 hours trying to replicate the issue in those games to no avail. I had also swapped out the batteries for some fresh ones just in case. So I popped brink back in and as soon as I get into a heavy fight again, the sound cuts in and out.

My hardware: Xbox 360 Halo reach console, game is installed to HD, Turlte Beach PX5s, wireless controller.

I'm sure its a software issue but I listed the above just in case.

I stopped using my Turtle Beaches for Brink....

Good god, the whole Radio thing for each and every action gets on my nerves. The comm static gives me a headache everytime a radio message comes through.

"-HISSSSSSS!- I'm taking a piss now! -HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!"
"-HISSSSSSSSSSS!- Piss was good! -HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!"

Same thing was happening to me but it was no matter what audio i was using be it my headphones, speakers, just the tv. I've outright stopped playing since between the sound cutting out, the loud random screeching and popping made it unplayable to me. thinking about returning the game.

Same thing on my end. My audio comes through external speakers and I'm using a wireless headset but it still cuts out. And I COMPLETELY agree with Xenolithium on the static thing. Yes, congratulations Splash Damage, you made it sound like the characters are talking through a radio. It doesn't have to make my ears bleed.

I haven't had any problems. I just turn down the dialogue from the options menu. The only time the sound drops is when I get shot. Not making lite of the situation, but my setup is OK (TB x41).

I experience this in almost every session I play of Brink. I use Astro A40 wired headset with the optic audio cable to the mix amp. I turned down the in game dialog, which only bothered me as far as having the AI always telling me there were 4 of my team taking the same command post every 10 seconds. The sound stuttering seems to only happen after a grenade detonates near me and I fire immediately after it, a few seconds after I stop shooting the sound returns to normal and everything is fine.

Ok I have found a (sort of) fix you can play audio through headset this sort's it out (for me) albeit, as soon as you enter a Party it reverts back to normal.
