Brink Dead?

Post » Sun Jun 12, 2011 4:40 pm

Is brink dead? Spash Damage hasn't updated lately. Other than the new news post about the stats site, which leads to a 404 error anyways.

It seems brink was a sleeper hit that was killed early on because of lag issues (At least on the 360). And it seems people left because Splash Damage didn't fix it as fast as everyone had hoped..

Just my ideas I guess.

Your probably right. Of all the people who did go out on a limb to try this game I'd say they all left. No one wants to play a multiplayer game with no one on it AND it was full of lag.

Glad I stuck with it though, im loving the game..

I love the Parkour, wish more levels had it. Probably why I just play the challenges over and over now. Waiting on the DLC to see if it improves the game. (Hopefully it does).

Im on it now to do my Tracking stuff, and to see if maybe it is any better.

No clue about the PC version.

One thing that Ticks me off about brink is the NPC. I will be playing a match on normal. Be doing fine until the last 30 seconds. Then the NPCs become virtually invincible, and can kill you with 2 shots. They do the objective just to keep the game going. Its a cheap and annoying issue with the game. To keep longetivity they make the NPC up dificulties by over 9,000% just to keep you playing. Blah. Dumb idea.

I would say the PC version is your best bet as it sounds like that platform has the most players and the least problems.
Or at least it's easier to find full matches on the PC.

As far as the game being dead: it was dead upon launch, but there are still hundreds of people that play it during peak
hours so you can still play it and enjoy it so long as you can find matches with players in them which can prove to be
inexplicably difficult at times.
