greets, i downloaded the game from D2D ( i live in greece , i have an eu account at http://www.direct2drive.eu/ ) and i bought-preordered the game a month or so ago there, i preloaded the game today but at the Language Instalation box there is a drop down box with : German , Italian , French , Spanish . No English.

fortunatelly i didnt go pass that point cause then it would install it on steam that way ( with a wrong language ).


Please u geniouses : tell those guys at d2d to put the game in english.

btw they call it brink eu now , but when i pre-ordered it was called brink, in any case i was not asked if i wanted the game for german language or french or italian or spanish or english.

i thought i was doing the right thing for registering on eu d2d cause there was a uk d2d and i dont live at uk, so if i would be pre ordering on the uk site and installing the game on greece that would be not accurate and would probably result in an arror depending on the deals and prices and regional pricing and what not.

so i did it perfectly , and my order said Brink , not Brink EU , later on on my receipt it mentions BrinkUKEU , still no BRINK EU and still no choice of which language to choose for the game and its installation in game language.

Does that mean you can download both versions? Or did you buy the (german,french,...) version and needed to switch your preorder?
I bought the game on steam and would be mighty pissed if I had to play in german (even though I am german). German versions svck...

yes there were both versions available ( one NA version = english and one with several eu languages = german , french, italian, spanish. )

i did buy the expensive version of d2d brink = meaning that it was a bit more expensive than the uk one or american one, cause i had a hunch of why those price differences were put = meaning regional pricing, so i said EU site is better to register for.

Now if u ask me regardless of where u bought the game from u should be able to chose wht language u want to game to be. or else leave it to them to decide for us ? geesh what a mess.

In relevance to the steam side: steam has an option that says whats your prefered language, mine is english and i get my games in english. if your steam account options say german it might end up installing the german version, i do not know , check out at your steam settings - account if setting up your prefered lang to english . might work . save changes - restart steam to apply changes.

german version could be nice , sometimes voice overs do not work, but if they are done by pro voice over teams they do good job. and yes i got both versions from d2d english and the other one i mentioned above, its a tough decision. but if u go with english its guaranteed to work ok.

i havent recieved my serial key from d2d yet, i guess thats cause of the release day of 13nth ( early friday ) , some people say they already got their keys but those are the guys that bought it from d2d uk site. eu site hasnt sent me no key yet.
