st, The game is centered around the idea that there is a civil war between the SECURITY and the RESISTANCE forces. One thing i must say is if you choose either side whatever things they belive is right for the ark or for the people is sort of destroyed because when you are playing offline or online you have the aligibility to play both sides. I would stick with the side that i perferred was right. I think that if you choose one faction at the begining of the game you stick with that faction. What they could do is set up the character selection so you can have one Security character, and one Resistance character, and you could switch to the other when your first character reaches his maximum rank.
nd, When i started the campain, I noticed in the first mission during the cutscene. I saw texture problems with both the world and the weapons, when you first look at them, they're blury. After a couple of seconds, the detail starts to set in. Not only does this appear in the cutscenes, but also during gameplay, and outside of the gameplay itself (that being the weapon customization options). Now to some of you this might not be a problem because you're more focused on the game, but i payed $60 for this game, and I felt I should've got a great amount of quality for how much I payed for it. This does not apply to the character, and to the character customization options, infact they looked perfectly fine. One thing I would like is when you create a new character you can choose any of the default or your own custom faces and edit the physical features. Another cool thing I would like is if you could choose your own custom colors and patterns for hats, hair, facepaint, jackets, etc.
rd, The AI in the game did not help me out in most situations. In most cases i would find myself feeling like im doing all the work for the team for what they are supposed to be doing at completing the mission objectives. They are either just standing around in one place and move when certain things happen, for example, the objective is to secure the injured agent to the designated area. My squad starts at the spawn point and immeadiately some of them rush to the comand post to switch to the appropiate class (in this case the MEDIC class is required to heal the agent if he were to be incapcitated by the enemy attacking him), and the rest of the squad sticks with there own perferred classes to complete the other missions on the objective wheel. Im a soldier and I rush to the agent to escort him. There is a least two or three teamates with me and we run right into the enemy, immeadiately we all start shooting at the enemy team and one thing I dont understand is why my team is standing in the middle of all the action when they can spread out to find cover. There I am shooting badguys and killing them, and one other thing is the enemy does the same thing my own squad fails to do, find cover, so they are open all the time and I kill the majority of them while the rest of my team just gets one or two of them. Later on, the enemy returns to the same area to where I just killed them all, which is sort of annoying. Another thing I dont like about the AI is that they dont go in groups of of a certain number of people to go to different places around the map to try to flank the enemy or do other objectives. By the way this mission I was playing was on NORMAL difficulty. The AI is just way to easy to take care of on that difficulty, and I can usually take on groups of Three and kill them all without my squad helping me. Although on Hard... ehh, the enemy actually does damage to you, and I can barely kill two of them. When I look at the map to find my teamates they either need a medic or they are at the spawn. The enemy seems to have a greater amount of skill than my squad, and they will actually complete there objectives faster, and more agressively. Another thing that pisses me off, when I am knocked down the medics on my team are dead or they are just too lazy to pick me up, especially when i trying to capture, repair, hack, or retreive the primary objective.
th, When I was trying to find an option to play online it took me some time to find, and it turned out to be in Freeplay. I dont know why the word "ONLINE" was'nt in the menu screen? Anyway, another thing I didnt see was a option to create a group of friends to enter a game all together. Finally, on the bottom of the main menu screen is ONLINE STATS, which is where it tells you a code to register on the official site. When I registered my code, and i went back to my game I had suspected my stats to actually appear at the same place where the code was, and instead, there was nothing there as if it never was there before.
In conclution, this game really showed me a whole new way of playing shooters, and im very interested in it. If you guys from Bethesda can fix these problems I pretty much gurantee you, that there will be a lot more of activity happening in your servers and ill be very happy! :woot:
