I just noticed something about OP's video...

0:22-0:28, that does NOT look like a Heavy carrying that Minigun on the player's team... it looks Medium at largest. The guy's on-screen name is "Robitaille", he pops up again about a minute later. Also at around 2:50 a guy called "SD_03" looks like a Light/Medium wielding a Minigun, and again at 3:20 you see him next to some guys who are clearly Light and he hardly looks any different..

Robitaille is a Heavy you can tell when you see him a second time, and Idk about SD_03, I can tell you he's a medium though.

That's what I thought at first too, because the pose is so Heavy-esque, but look closer at his actual size... specifically his height & arms. I noticed it first when I wondered why two lanky twigs were toting and swinging around this great big weapon down by his knees.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY! :unsure2:

Maybe Medium's can have like one or two heavy weapons while Heavies can equip any and all Heavy Weapons? I dunno just trying to throw that out there >.<

Funny, because aside from swapping your MP for a standard pistol you're running a very similar setup to my soldier

Can't wait to get into a monkey knife fight against several lights and win. I will lolololol so hard.

The first character I mentioned, Robitaille, is wielding it right off the bat. You see the match start countdown, and about 15 seconds later, there he is with a Minigun.


Again, for Robitaille he had the Minigun before we even see any conflict. As for SD_03 it's possible... but he seems to be surrounded by teammates, not exactly the setting we've been led to believe the disguise will be used in. And pff, who plays Operative w/ a Minigun lol. I don't remember which of the two, but I believe one of them was wearing the Dude's tyre shoulderpads and the player's team was Resistance.


I'd watch the video some more to do some more in-depth anolysis, perhaps try to distinguish the classes or abilities involved, but my internet's terrible... I think I reached my cap because I'm downloading at 5kbps.

I agree with everything you just posted except the Operative part........since I'll be a light :ninja: medic.

The guy that wants to get behind the other team and mow them all down and let his friends advance. Heavies CAN play as operatives.

True true, it just seems illogical that in order to sneak behind the enemy team you would use the bulkiest and least-maneuverable body type with probably the most chaotic, cumbersome and loud of weapons though, you gotta admit. :thumbsup:

Disguise as medium. Switch to secondary (probably a medium weapon). Run past your enemies. You are in disguise. Once behind them, switch back to minigun. Mow them all down. Thanks for playing.

When you take a disguise you take their weapon too. Either it's their weapon or your weapon in some sort of disguise also.

Sweet. Then I don't even have to switch back. I just pull the trigger. But I'm more of a shotgun superstar myself.

But in the video I'm fairly sure both players were decked out in Resistance-gear whilst looking Medium (or at least not-Heavy) and wielding Miniguns, whilst the player whose team they were on was Resistance too.

Of course I'd love some clarification... as I said, 5kbps internet doesn't like loading Youtube videos, not even SD.

I'm pretty sure there is a "heavy weapon" in the medium category because I've seen several mediums toting around a machine gun before in gameplay video's.

Yea, but that was a Mini Gun. Only heavies can have a Mini Gun.

Wasn't the full version of the game, certain restrictions (weight class, weapons, etc) may have been lifted just to let them play the product.

That's a good answer to the question, I was thinking that earlier. I didn't post because I wondered why they would do that, because if they did do that for them to play the product, then wouldn't that falsely advertise the gamers? Unless they informed them that they did lift it.

I'm guessing, but it seems that if you can't unlock body types until level 5 or so it would only make sense to either have the body types available from the start or have the weapons for those types available.

That was bad footage anyways, so it was hard to tell, but it looked like most, if not all, of the guys where the same bodytype.
