BRINK update causes me MORE crashes...wtf

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 6:54 am

Before this update was releassed my audio would go out then I'd have the game crash on occasion, it wasnt something that happened constantly,

Now, since this update the sound doesnt go out but the game is crashing nonstop after about 15-20 minutes of gameplay. Something needs to still be tweaked, this update has made game WORSE for me.

I hope there are someone else having this issue, otherwise the guys at Timegate probably wont care about just me and I'll have to live with it or go play Section 8 Prejudice...which is a damn good game in itself.

SO PLEASE, get this crash issue resolved!!!!

EDIT - I will be bumping this for as long as it takes to get a response from someone from Timegate or someone that knows of a fix.

Runnings Windows 7 if that helps...if u need my other specs, I will present them if needed.

The only crashes I've ever experienced with brink happen whenever I close the game (exiting with the ingame option to shut down brink), and then I get a runtime error.

I've had the no sound and invisible enemies bugs both before and after the patch, though, so my guess is that Bethesda is just throwing extra code in and hoping the problem will solve itself.

Man, for $50 they better be able to come up with a fix for these crashes, and the fact you cant co-op with your friends like by inviting them...this is a $20 game at best, imo

I'm pretty sure that this game runs on the Quake 4 engine, which is pretty demanding (though I've never played it or crysis, so I cant really compare them). A lot of the lag/low fps issues (and maybe even a lot of the graphics glitches and sound bugs) probably stem from a combination of the demanding game engine and very poorly optimized game environments.
