Broken Grass game.

Just kidding.
Its quite amazing in nearly all reguards.
Here is a question about a serious failure of design.

Im level 8. I tried to avoid leveling unessisary skills too quickly, (as in, worked on my offence / defence) skills the most at first.
just to avoid having low damage skills as I approached level 10.
I would much rather play the game on expert, but bethesda isnt capable of putting together a game thats balanced and fair (At least as of level 10, with mage).
so i dropped it to adept.. i mean surely the games not so broken as to force me to put it on diapers / easy.
My problem is.. I try not to run through the progression quests too fast. I try to do a few town quests in along the way.
Ive only done like 3-4 into the main progression quest.. visit riverwood. proceed to whiterun, talk to that dude.. kill the first dragon.

Basically the "show up, talk, leave town once or twice". type quests.
Now here is the problem..

no matter which quest I choose, I run out into the wild.. I can one shot wolves....
but omg bears.. I can hit them for 4 percent life.. (And this is with full destro spec, rest in resto when i cant destro). 5-3, something like this.
I one shot wolves.. but dont even scratch bears..
Here is my problem with this broken game.
I like the game hard, dont get me wrong but..
With 7 out of 8 level points put into "magic"... btw..
It takes me like 5 complete mana bars dumped into a bear.. or some bandits I find 5 minutes outside of whiterun.

I can one shot wolves.. but bears are infinately stronger...
is it too fkn much to ask for a balnce ?
Should it really require me to run around like a fknretardchicken for 5 minutes shooting 3 fireballs every 60 seconds. (Thats with 75% robes on, and all regen talents...)........
Is that really what mage consist of?
being forced to wait for the manabar to refill 5 times, because you hit enemies for 4 percent life, and only get 3-4 duel cast fireballs per bar?
god FKN FORBID the pathing in this games 2001 quality CRAP.. and the bear thinks "OMG JUKE RIGHT DODGE ELITE NINJA SKILLS" bull @#$ fail programing.
====
So.. Am I supposed to put the game on easy - diaper 1 shot everything in the game, so that oyu can fight the normal mobs without running - kiting for literally 6 minutes.
Or just go play battlefield?
===
I mean.. is it because im level 8? by lvl 20.. if i just choke this @#$ down.. does it get more balanced?
if they cant balance it for the first ten levels, why should I assume the next ten will be any better?

The games just broken, bethesda cant do it.
Or Im miss understanding something about the game?
I played 100 hours of morrowind, 100 hours of oblivion.
30 hours of skyrim.
1000's upon thousands of MMO hours.
I understand the basics here.

==========

I dont want ot one shot everything.
I would like to be able to two or three shot (double that for failed missed projectiles due to bethesda's failure to learn how to make mobs path).
I mean.. is it too much to ask for a player model that can step over 2 foot rocks? so that the npcs can be allowed to do the same?

its 2012, not 1998.
does bethesda just not give a @#$.
or or are they just that fail?

oh, maybe they didnt best test mages.

Surely kiting would be on the list if they did (Because we all know mages dont get bitten by a bear twice and l ive.)

CHOKING ALL THE @#$% FAILURE DOWN.. I WOULD BE OK WITH.
But you only get 3 duel cast fireballs for a full bar of mana.
I guess thats my biggest complaint.
which directly translates into being forced tow ait for your bar to refill 5 times per enemy. ( or what.. dont leave whiterun till your lvl 20???).. how do you pull that one off.

Am I missing something?
or is the game just broken, and there is no hope.
love it or play/pay for something else?

I dont want to put it on easy.
I dont want to have to kite for 6 minutes while I wait for my bar to refill 6 complete times so I can shoot 10 fireballs.

I dont want easy.. but I shouldnt have to shoot something 20 times.

Sorry for the rage.

if anyone has any tips on what I might be missing. Id love to put them to good use.

So your mad you can one shot wolves but not bears? You do realize Bears even in real life are bigger and more fierce then wolves. Just bring a follower with you. There a good distraction for the bears for you to get a few shots of fire at it...other then that you are being overly dramatic

are you trying to bring logic into shooting fireballs at a wolf vrs shooting fireballs at a bear?
I dont want to one shot bears.
I want some resemblance of balance.
Im telling you that I can one shot one animal... but the other animal standing next to it.. I have to 20 shot.
what [censored] design.
Both should take 2-3-4 shots.....

But I do thank you for the advice.. maybe ill go back to town and rely on other npcs to help balance the game.. I was under the impression that this was a solo player game. I guess ill rely on the AI based groups X_x.
At least thats an option. I will try it. maybe it will be more fun than it sounds.. relying on other npcs to save my life.
At least at lower levels. maybe the npc helper wont be useless and get one shot also.

Ty. I will try it.

Howaboutno. Seriously I'm not going to flame you but look up mage hints or something, they are VERY powerful if used correctly, most powerful early and they fall off late. Learn to flash your spells and you will roast most enemies in seconds. By flash I mean do not channel your flames for example, continue to rapidly cast them.

Whatever I can't even bother giving this a good response.

EDIT: Oh and [censored] by the way, wolves are level 1 enemies, bears are MUCH higher and can kill warriors higher than your level as well.

OOOH and I play expert.

OOOOOOOH and I don't use broken systems like enchanting/smithing/alchemy.

/rant

Edit 2: Yea Please continue, my good sir..

Im pretty sure you dont have to set a bear on fire 20 times IRL to get rid of it.
Im just asking for consistency, so i can set my difficulty and leave it, without having to run around for literally 90 seconds, kiting something, just to kill a single target.

I just learned that magic regen in combat is gimped down for what ever reason.
I dont mind it taking 10 shots. I just mind the fact that you only get 3 MAYBE 4 shots per full mana bar at lvl 8 , and it takes 5 full bars of mana to kill a bear.
I can 1 shot wolves and some bandits.. thats abit too weak, but forest crap like bears shouldnt be godlike.
it shouldnt take 20 blasts of fire to kill a bear.

I dont mind shooting 10 times if you dont have to wait 90 seconds for the mana.
I wouldnt mind waiting for the mana if you didnt only get 3 shots before your bar goes from full to empty.

Each rule in itself sounds fair enough, but put all together and it turns into
1v3 fights where it takes 20 shots (not counting misses or npc heals) which turns into waiting for the bar to refill 8 times whlie running around the
shi@#$ pathing of bethesda.

I mean Doom1 mobs pathed better than this. wolfenstein3d 1 had better pathing.
Granted.. the terrain comes with rocks now.. and youd have to teach your npcs that its ok to climb 2 foot terrain but omg... rofl, lets not act like its hard.

in fact.. they already bothered with doing it for horses, so that they were not completely useless.
and you dont see people omg exploiting horse mechanics to omg OP.

If you're on a PC, highly recommend this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=2275 It greatly improves magic in the game, and makes Destruction much more viable.

Pretty much gotta use some kind of melee companion, when playing a mage, so you have a tank along with you. If the harder mobs, or groups of mobs, all focus entirely on you from the start, yer in for pain.

Destruction by itself is not so easy- other useful magics to take some of the pressure off, are conjuration with its atronachs and raised undead allies to help tank for you, and illusion magic with its spells for making your enemies run in fear, not fight you, or fight each other. Those spells are much more valuable than you can imagine until you actually try them.

Doesn't hurt to cultivate your sneak a bit, too. With sneak up to a decent level, enemies will usually spot your follower or conjured allies before you and go after them first, giving you a bit of extra time to get set up and get some spells off without harrassment.

News flash, its not real life. Its not a real bear.
These bears are super mega ultra bears that aren't scared of fire.

How do people pick up a fantasy game and then complain about how unrealistic it is?
Surely there are government institutions these people can be kept in... away from the general public...
