Sorry, the title is incorrect.

When I save an archive in the CK, i choose the data directory as the saved location, but when I go to look for it, it's in the Skyrim directory.

Help please?

Why don't you just move it to the Data directory after? It should work fine.

I do, but that doesn't solve the problem. Why is it saving in the Skyrim folder when I chose to save it to the data folder?

Who cares? Just move it into the data folder and problem solved. What did you expect, for some modder to go and reverse engineer the CK to fix the minor inconvenience?

Doesn't matter where I save it, when I bring the tool back up, load my mod to continue work, it won't let me save...says's it's either a master file or in use..........

NM, found it.

I thought maybe I was doing something wrong and there's a setting somewhere which could fix the issue. If everyone is having this issue, maybe bringing it to light so Bethesda can fix it is a good thing?
