These BSODs occur at any given time. Sometimes in 10 minutes or less, others at more than a few hours.

Here are my Computer specs:

Core 2 Duo @ 3.00 Ghz
4 Gigs DDR2 RAM
Nvidia Geforce GT 240
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 (I have heard that ALOT of crashes can be linked to this card)
Windows XP Pro w/ SP3

Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to "retire" my sound card if I don't have to, though.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I am using the Steam version if that helps.

What does the BSOD say? A large amount of BSODs are caused by a driver, so usually the BSOD mention a .DLL file that caused the conflict, and that way you will know what driver is bad.

The driver is not always at fault, though. I suffered a lot from BSODs on an older computer when I ran 3D software. I belived the graphic card driver was the issue at first, but it eventually turned out it was a motherboard hardware fault, so I had to replace the motherboard.

It keeps saying the soundcard driver is at fault. I have un-installed the driver and re-installed the latest official one to no avail (I have also used older drivers, that didn't work). I have tried to look for unofficial drivers, but its quite a pain. I cannot seem to find one.

Does your mobo have any onboard sound? If it is a sound driver/card issue you could always try using that while playing NV (to see if it still crashes).
