Bug during Intro (Intro Broken)

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 4:43 pm

So, I have an issue on the game.

I just got Skyrim installed a couple days ago and created a game. Soon after I install a couple cool mods. I decided to create a new character at that time. Two things happened:

1) When I clicked "New" after a few seconds of riding in the cart, the horse just ran into a tree and got stuck there.

2) After I loaded the character creation save, it got stuck on a cut scene where the red-head is supposed to get decapitated. The problem is that the red-headed Nord that says "Let's just get this over with" just stands there.

Anybody have any solutions? I've disabled all mods and everything because I thought it might've been a conflict issue, but that didn't resolve anything.

Just as soon as you actually tell us something we can get our teeth into, someone will try to answer. Meanwhile, TTBOMK, no one here is clairvoyant.

If I were clairvoyant, would I know what "TTBOMK" is meant to mean?

To the OP, try removing the mods you installed. There is nothing "broken" about the intro in the default game. Either a mod is causing this problem or you need to delete your ini files and verify the local game cache.

As I've been playing off of a saved game I downloaded off of the Nexus, I found yet another feature that's broken.

All Crafting tables and everything is broken. My character just stands there.

I've deleted .ini files and verified game cache twice now, and it still won't fix. The intro is still broken, too.

Here's my specs:

Intel Core i5-2400S CPU, 2.5GHz
4GB RAM
64 bit Windows 7.
AMD Radeon HD 6750M

I seem to be running on medium pretty well. Even on the high performance it doesn't do too bad.

I installed off of my disc. Should I just do a re-install from a download?

Also, I am running off of a Windows partition on a Mac.

Fixed the issue. For all of those having a similar issue:

1) Delete all traces of mods.
2) Delete the animations file in the Skyrim Steam Folder. (it's about 40MB) Make sure to make a back-up of the animations file in a separate location, though!
3) Re-Verify Game Cache.

Issue should be fixed.

Moderators can probably close this thread now that I have the issue resolved.
