Bug's....a lot of Bug's!

Hi folks
I was really waiting for New Vegas to be released, since Fallout 3 i have never seen a better game of this kind.
Now it's there and all i can say is that i am very very....disappointed....
Since Gothic3 i've never seen that many bug's in a new released game, until New Vegas was launched!
It's a shame that i wanted this game so bad, wish i could re-sell it...but this wont work because of the steam authentification....great!!

If you start playing New Vegas you think that all will begin the way it did in Fallout 3 ,but no,it's a real "wasteland",nothing much to do,some side-quest's that arent really funny, the main quest is quit interresting, but with such a horrible AI,even killing mob's isnt funny...
Some(many) NPC's get stuck in almost everything, same for the companions. I have the german version of the game, and that brings another hugh bug,the entire translation...
When you speak to NPC's,the subtitles says something else than the npc is speaking off?? What the hell is that?
In some important quest, where youre answer may influence some kind of reputation, this may lead you to some different endings of quest, endings wich you never wanted to happen because the choice of answers you have dont match with the spoken part and you dont know what to do...

At the end all i can say is that i thrusted to much in Bethesda, thought they where not like so many other software publishers who just wants to sell as many games as possible without quality....well it look's that i was wrong, they do the same thing, release an unfinished game and let players pay for it....pityfull...

Nothing much to do? Some side-quests?

Maybe we are not playing the same game but looking in the G.E.C.K. I can count at least 400 quests involving New Vegas. If we figure 1/4 of those have to do with the main quest, another 1/4 for special scripts and miscellaneous, that still leaves about 1/2 that are side quests or 200 and even if we cut that down to 1/3 there are at least about 70 side quests.

Really? I thought Fallout 3 was amazing, and New vegas topped F3 in every way, apart from invisible wall rocks.

There are plenty of side quests and a lot of them are quite entertaining. So I'm going to have to disagree with you there...

But there are quite a few annoying bugs, and not just with NPCs getting stuck in the floor. Just now I've encountered an issue with the

Spoiler
NCR correctional facility and the I Fought the Law quest-line. I completed the quest by betraying Eddie and helped the NCR retake the facility but Mr. New Vegas reports that the attack was a failure on the radio, and just now I talked to a BoS scout who twice said that the NCR did retake the facility (another bug as he simply repeated and the first time the dialogue text was completely different from what he said). So... which is it? Does the game consider the prison retaken or not?

I also repeatedly encounter crashes but I also crashed a lot in Fallout 3 so it's probably related to Bethesda's engine.

Whats with all these bug reports? 53 hours into the game and I have not hit one bug that is remotely gamebreaking, the last time i experienced a slightly major bug was 15+ hours ago when I lost Arcade for a bit, but then he reappeared in Freeside.

Then you're in the (lucky) minority.

The bugs ARE there. If you aren't experiencing them, then good for you. Just don't expect the rest of us to shut up about them any time soon.

.. Unless they get a seriously big patch out *soon*. I wont hold my breath.

That sounds like a job for Fisto!!

Personally, I haven't really had any in-game bugs (script or quest based). I had the NPC-related fps drop (dll fix worked wonders) and the disappearing save file problem, but once I got past those, I haven't had any quest problems, companion problems, or even stuck-in-the-ground issues.

I've had 3 or 4 crashes, but over 40 hours of play that's not too bad (for this engine).
