Bugged BoS

Post » Tue Feb 22, 2011 12:00 am

I messed up and completed the first questline for McNamara then talked to Hardin and used the dialog option to initiate his takeover. This happened before I ever even went to the strip and now a very long time later I'm at the point where the NCR wants the BoS wiped out and both Hardin and McNamara are still locked in their takeover dialog.

Is there a script command or something to reset them somehow?

It's not bugged and there's no magic fix, but now you know for future playthroughs.

It is a bug , after you complete the quest for McNamara you are not suposed to be able to talk to Harlin about the McNamara. There is a console command to change the state of the quest for either McNamara or Harlin , do a search on these forums as i cant remember it.

From fallout.wikia.com
To fix the error state, you will need to open the console and reset the quest with the following two lines (WARNING - using the console will disable Steam achievements. You will need to exit and restart the game to re-enable them.):

resetquest 0015d79d
setstage 0015d79d 100

You will get the Completion XP Again also just fyi

Ah yes thats the command , i was looking at the wrong quest on wiki , also if you use 101 at the end it sets the quest completed for Hardin instead of McNamara.
