BUGGED QUESTS NEEDS ATTENTION.

Yesterday i was running some quests for the companions, extermination quests. It all were going ok until
one of the quests sent me to Fallow Stone Cave to clear it out. The thing is, i had already ventured into
that massive cave long time ago and cleared it. So when i entered the cave again, it had 3 Giants, including
the one hiding in the inner sanctum.

So i cleared all giants, looted everything worth taking. Ran around for 15 minutes using my "call of the hunt" shout
to see if i had missed anything i had to kill, but the entire cave was clean. But the quest was still incomplete
and shoved on the map that i still had to kill stuff in the cave i had just cleaned out. And when i walked
in one of the narrow passages inside the cave, the "quest marker" is located on the ground, like "X marks the spot"
kinda thing... but there aren't anything left to kill.

And if i don't complete this quest, the companions will not give me more quests, which in turn means that
i will not be able to get the quest to cure myself from being a werewolf.

So in a way, this bug literally screwed me up...

[SOLUTION]

Whenever there is a kill-quest inside a cave / dungeon. Make the game RESPAWN everything inside the cave
that needs to be killed. Simple as that. If you get a quest to kill a Bandit leader in a tower, make him spawn
there instead of having a player walk to the tower only to find it empty after last raid..

Its THAT simple.

We still haven't gotten any sign of acknowledgement from Bethesda about a fix on this issue.

Is Skyrim to be known as Beta-skyrim, where you can't go freely without bugging out quests?.

I have almost a dozen quests that are broken because I went to point 'B' before even knowing a quest existed.

I assume this problem - which theoretically could break just about every quest in the game - will be fixed.

Yes! Just to mention (it's kind of unfortunate but)...
I will always check the Wiki to see what any new cave/tower/etc. I discover is all about.
I know it breaks immersion, truly like I say it's unfortunate but it's gotta be.
Just yesterday I was heading into something the Wiki said was a major plotline location, not one but two major quests involved...
Without the Wiki I would have gone in exploring, for sure!
Instead I got away from there.

You'd think they would structure things to encourage you to get out and explore.
Not wait for quests to be assigned, to 'discover' these places...
But still we are punished for discovering and exploring on our own.
Oh well...
(Thanks Beth)

Can we get an acknowledgement that the Devs are aware of this and are working on a solution, both to fix the currently broken quests and prevent them for breaking in new games. Some of us that already have 100+ hours invested in our current game will not be helped if you release a patch which only stops them from breaking.

We need a patch that fixes the broken ones and stops more from breaking.

Radiant Story was meant to fix this. Obviously it didn't. Or all the quests you have problem with are simply non-radiant storied quests, and the quest design was just sloppy so it could easily be broken.
Either way, I don't think it will be "solved".

The best way to design a non-radiant storied quest so that it wouldn't break would be to add key-requirements (or something else that is required) to the main doors to the dungeon, so you simply couldn't get past them without doing the quest. Or a blocked passage that gets opened when you are doing the quest.

To me it sounds like a problem in the general quest engine, regardless of wheter it's fully scripted or radiant. "IF condition 'B' is TRUE THEN SKIP". It's like all of the quests get stuck at the point where the condition has already been fulfilled... which makes absolutely no sense.

I still can't buy my house in Windhelm because Blood on the ice won't start. Also, I couldn't do my civil war quests on another character because somehow I was given both stormcloak / imperial quests. The best part is Ulfric starts the message to whiterun quest by giving me General T's message and not Ulfric's axe lol. :banghead: Needless to say, I quit that char.
