I don't know how many other people have been experiencing this problem but recently I've picked up Skyrim again. I was playing through, decided to stop at Emberstone Mine, killed the bandits, went towards the water, and the game immediately froze.
I started up a new character (because of a problem on my behalf, not anything software-related) and played further, fixing said non-software-related problem, and went into water again- and again, the game froze.
I don't expect the problem to be fixed immediately but any reports will be much appreciated (or acknowledgement of said problem). Feel free to report below if you've been experiencing the same.
