Bugs, crashes and corrupted saves nothing new

While the problems with FNV are making the game damned near unplayable, to me it's nothing new or particular to New Vegas. I played through FO3 no problem but when I started adding in the DLC it became almost impossible to play, every second autosave would be corrupted, loads took forever and glitching was just off the charts. So when FNV started behaving in a similar fashion I thought it was just an exacerbation of a previously existing problem, but from the response it's like this is a new deal for a lot of people. So I don't get it… did people just shrug and ignore FO3s problems? Or were they limited to GotY buyers?

Might have been mostly GotY buyers or day 1 buyers. I didn't have any issues with Fallout 3 beyond a few freezings starting around hour 40 and ending around hour 60 for the most part. Mine was a used copy of the original release though.

It's also possible for many posters, this is their first experience with Fallout so they weren't aware of how buggy FO3 could be, just as Fallout 3 was my first game so fans of Fallout 1 and 2 were aware this series was buggy well before I was.

How do they get away with releasing games in this condition? Obviously, no one play tested this game before release and they have been promising a patch since the game released. I am sure they are working harder on the DLC, so they take more of our money, than they are working for a fix for the game. This game is sooooo broken!

I rented FO3 from GameFly when it 1st came out and it did have some freezes and a few graphical problems, but OMG what a great game it was. I pre-ordered GotY the minute it was announced and it did seem to freeze a bit more than the original game but I save often so no biggie. But I did not encounter any broken quests, lost companions, corrupted auto-saves or the tons of game-wrecking bugs that happen minute-to-minute in NV in FO3 GotY

FO3's bugs were occasionally annoying but the game was so huge and so immersive I could easily overlook them. FO3 has my soul and it is my favorite game EVER bugs and all.

FO:NV holds no immersion for me, since even playing hard-core on very hard, my biggest fear is not a horde of deathclaws it's the fear the game will crash before I can save it, right after killing 20 deathclaws!

I could never complete the main quest in FO3. The Waters of Life Quest always froze on me after a certain point when going through a door. I could complete all side quests and extra content, just never the main quest. Kind of lame.

Or even if saving then when you try to load that save it says "This game is missing dlc. Some content might not load, hit ok to continue to load file" *Hit OK* "The storage device was removed, Save couldn't be loaded" That is really annoying when that happens and it does that everytime I save on the 360's hdd, but using a USB works fine but it takes longer to load places (autosaves after each area) and to load/save the game
